Explanation
This joke is funny because we don’t know if the one who answers is dumb or is just kidding with the one who asks. We all know what a blackout is: when the power goes out at a place and a neighbourhood or a whole city is left in darkness. It is something that calls everyone’s attention.
So the first kid asks his friend if he noticed that there was a power outage that left their area in total darkness. The other realised that there was no light. Of course, he couldn’t see anything, so he couldn’t have “seen” the blackout, in a very technical way. But we can also think that the one who answers believes that “The Blackout” is a movie or a theatre play.
We like the first explanation better, but only because we are a bunch of jokers!

Llega un chico y le pregunta a su amigo:
-¿Viste el apagón de anoche?
Y le contesta: No, en mi casa se fue la luz.
Explicación
Este chiste nos hace gracia porque no sabemos si el amigo que responde es tonto o si está bromeando con el que le pregunta. Todos sabemos qué es un apagón: cuando deja de haber electricidad en un lugar y un barrio o una ciudad entera se quedan a oscuras. Es algo que llama la atención de todo el mundo.
Así que el chico le pregunta a su amigo si se dio cuenta de que hubo un corte de electricidad que dejó su zona en total oscuridad. El otro se dio cuenta de que no había luz. Claro está que no veía nada, así que técnicamente no pudo “ver el apagón”. Sin embargo también podemos pensar que el que responde cree que “El Apagón” es una película o una obra de teatro.
A nosotros nos hace más gracia la primera explicación, que conste. Pero eso es porque somos muy bromistas.
