Two zeros are walking down the street and they see an eight on the other side of the street.
One of the zeros says to the other:
-Look how cool that one is! Look what a waist he has after his diet!
Explanation
In earlier months we have had animals speak like people, and this month it is the turn of the numbers. Let’s imagine that the two zeros live in Number City, are normal citizens and, as happens to us, meet acquaintances in the street. One of those acquaintances turns out to be another zero that has started a diet and, like everybody else, happily walks around with his new shape: he has lost so much weight that he looks different, just like a neighbour that looks different after losing some weight.
The fun of the joke is that if we make a zero lose weight around his waist, it may turn into an eight. Try it yourselves: take a rubber band… doesn’t it look like a zero? Now press it in its center… we have an eight!
So that you see that numbers also can have a sense of humour!

Explicación
En algunos meses anteriores hemos hecho que los animales hablasen como personas, este mes lo hacemos con los números.
Imaginemos que los dos ceros viven en una ciudad hecha para las cifras, son ciudadanos normales y, como podemos hacer nosotros, se encuentran con conocidos. Uno de esos conocidos resulta ser un cero que se ha puesto a régimen, y como cualquier otra persona se pasea alegremente con su nueva figura: ha adelgazado tanto que parece otro, como un vecino que parece distinto tras haber adelgazado unos kilitos.
La gracia del chiste está en que si hacemos adelgazar a un cero por la cintura se nos transforma en un ocho. Haced la prueba: tomad una goma para el pelo, ¿a qué parece un “0”? Ahora apretadla por el centro. ¡Ya tenemos un 8!
